Concert Of Warmth and Light Raises £17,000 For Generators For Oleksandriya

Thanks to the generosity of the people of B&NES, the recent Concert in Bath Abbey has raised an extraordinary £17,000 for generators for the people of Oleksandriya in Ukraine.  Along with donations given before the concert, two large generators have now been bought for both the Children’s and the Main Hospital, along with 14 smaller generators for schools, nurseries and refugee centres. Zhenya Shkil, a Trustee of the FofO said “We are so grateful for the generosity of all the donors who have supported Oleksandiya in its time of danger and great need”.

The concert featured Ukrainian soloist Nicole Medin, the Voices of Life Children’s Choir, Canzona, and the Trowbridge Philharmonic Choir, and actors from Next Stages Theatre Company, alongside musicians, Everton Hartley, Bill Underhay and Tim Robb.
