The Friends of Oleksandriya are proud to publish Vitalii Petrenko and the Secret of the Roman Baths, a magical middle-grade adventure by Claire Bramwell-Pearson with illustrations by Ukrainian artist Alexandra Dikaia. 

 

Printed in Kyiv and set in the city of Bath, the story follows Vitalii, a young boy who flees the war in Ukraine and accidentally awakens a legendary three-headed dragon during a visit to the Roman Baths. The book celebrates friendship, courage, and the cultural connection between Ukraine and the UK. Launched in Oleksandriya and Bath in October 2025, the novella has already reached hundreds of children through school visits, creative workshops, and an international reading exchange between pupils in both cities.
