About the event
Bath Abbey was filled to capacity and audiences deeply moved during a special concert of Ukrainian music and culture held on Monday 24 February, marking the third anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine.
Hosted by former BBC presenter Ali Vowles, the evening brought together music, storytelling and live art in a powerful show of solidarity and remembrance. The Deputy Ambassador of Ukraine was in attendance, alongside the local MP, the Mayor of Bath and North East Somerset, and the Council Leader, underlining the strength of civic and diplomatic support for Ukraine.
The concert featured outstanding performances by Ukrainian pianist and composer Mariia Yaremak, vocalist Nicole Medin, the Argyle String Orchestra, and the Bath Voices for Life children’s choir, who moved the packed Abbey with their performance.
