In February 2026, the Friends of Oleksandriya successfully organised and delivered three lorries of essential humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
All aid was collected and prepared at the warehouse in Herefordshire, managed by William Jackson, Trustee of the Friends of Oleksandriya. The transport and delivery to Ukraine were funded through donations and fundraising efforts organised by the Friends of Oleksandriya.
First Lorry – Chaikovchi, Lvivska Oblast
The first lorry was delivered to Chaikovchi in Lvivska Oblast, bringing a range of urgently needed humanitarian supplies to support local communities and displaced people.
Second Lorry – Khmelnytskyi
The second lorry was sent to Khmelnytskyi, where the aid was distributed to organisations supporting humanitarian and logistical efforts in the region.
Third Lorry – Oleksandriya
The third lorry travelled across Ukraine to Oleksandriya, arriving on 2nd March 2026. This delivery included the 80kW generator for the Dental Hospital, which will help ensure the hospital can continue operating during power outages.
In addition to the generator, the lorry also carried:
A van for the engineering squad
Medical supplies, particularly for the hospital and rehabilitation centre
Toys and clothes for children
A wide range of humanitarian aid
Much of this support was intended for the IDP support centre “Assistance Centre Oleksandriia”, which continues to help internally displaced people who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war.
These deliveries demonstrate the continued commitment of the Friends of Oleksandriya and supporters across the UK to provide practical, life-saving assistance to communities in Ukraine.
